Royalty Remodelers Replacement Windows
Welcome to Royalty Remodelers Replacement Window Page!!
There are several different types, styles, and
manufactures of windows - It would be extremely hard for
us to list every manufacturer, type, style, and all
glass options. Most of our links are to External web
pages (manufacturer web sites) Their site will open in a
new window. please remember us for installation. Sometimes it
is best to
contact us if you are serious about getting
windows replaced we can come out and give you the latest
upgrade options and styles available along with an
Estimate / Quote for replacing windows.
So - Who makes the best window?
This question is not easily answered. Any answer you get will be
someone's opinion so my opinion would be Anderson
Windows. You can get Anderson Windows through retail
stores such as the Home Depot any contractor of your
choice
can install them.
The reasons I like
Anderson Windows
- Anderson Windows have been around a long long time
- Getting replacement parts is easy
- Warranty is exceptional
- If installed correctly will last 20+ years
- Great Quality Window with several options,
Styles, Glass Packages
- Fairly Inexpensive
Two - Types of window Installations
- Replacement Window Inserts: This is when a window sash is replaced
-- The opening part of the window and track is taken out
then a new window and its frame are installed into the existing frame of
the old window. New stops are added as needed. There is
typically no need to install new trim, jambs, or casing
using this method. This method is best when homeowners
are working within a specific budget or prefer to keep
the old trim intact (interior and /or exterior). I would
Recommend using a vinyl type replacement window for this
type of installation.
- Full Replacement Windows: This is when
the entire window sashes, frames, and all trim is removed inside as
well as outside. This is my preferred method with
solid wood windows Such as Anderson, Pella, Marvin,
Etc.... Pricing is quite expensive compared to an
insert typically twice the price. The Downside
of this type of window installation is the staining
of trim to match may not exactly match current Stain
and trim in the rest of the house and obviously the
price tag.
